SSF is ages U6 to U11
Development Training for U8 and U9 Buderim Wanderers Players to commence On Tuesday 28th May from 4pm to 5pm at Buderim Wanderers there will be development training on Field 2. This training is for the more advanced players in the U8 and U9 age groups and offers them the opportunity to participate in an extra training session with a fully qualified coach(es). These sessions will run fortnightly throughout the season subject to availability of coaches and interest from players. It will also provide the club with a chance to consider players for development teams in the future that begin from u10s onwards.
Buderim boys attend the West Ham United Academy in London. Five Buderim players, Archie Waterston, Jayke and Bryce Cuschieri, Jamie Vibert and Denver Crickmore, were selected to attend a West Ham United Academy Experience in London in April where they trained every day with the Academy coaches, played a game against the Academy and watched an EPL game v Southampton. The selection process for 2013 has already begun and Buderim players will get the opportunity to attend the National Camp in September by attending and being selected at a Regional Camp which Buderim will host on Sunday 9th and Monday 10 June. The players must attend a Regional Camp first, those who excel at the Regional Camp will get invited to the National Camp in September. The best players at the National Camp get an invitation to spend a week at the Academy. Tony Carr the Academy Director came to Australia to supervise the National Camp last September. The Camps are open to boys and girls of all levels of ability aged U8 to U18. Buderim Wanderers F.C is excited to announce that we were successful in our application for a grant from the Queensland Governments Get Playing Scheme. We would like to thank our volunteers and David O'Leary for putting the grant together, The Newman Government and especially The Honorable Steve Dickson for making this possible. The money will be used to improve drainage on F2 &3 so we can play more football. Well done everyone.
We now have a Football group with disabilities that train here at the Club on a Wednesday from 4.30pm - 5.30pm. They are coached by our very own Suresh Dewan (Shrek) If you see them here, please make them feel welcome and if you would like to give Suresh a hand, I am sure he would appreciate it.
